South Jordan Middle School Gives Heartwarming Cheer

It was a heartwarming moment of inclusion and celebration at South Jordan Middle School. At a recent kickoff assembly for the new school year, South Jordan Middle’s student body officers took to the stage to introduce themselves, one by one, to fellow classmates.

One of the student body officers is an incredible young man named Jack, who is in the school’s special education program. Beaming with pride, Jack shook off the nerves on stage to introduce himself, only to be interrupted by a deafening cheer from his fellow students. It was a simple, but impactful, showcase of support from the student body sending the message that all students are welcomed and celebrated at their school.

Great job South Jordan Middle teachers, administrators and students! Your kindness and inclusion mean the world to parents and fellow students and it makes your school a special place to learn.

Foothills Elementary Students Spin Into New House System

Foothills Elementary Students Spin The Sorting WheelRoars and chants fill the halls of Foothills Elementary as students spin the sorting wheel and join a house for the school year. The new program introduces five “houses,” each with its own color, hand signal, chant, and history, all competing for house points in friendly rivalry.

Similar to Hogwarts, each house highlights the school’s key values, teaching students what truly matters. The system also helps students build friendships and connect with peers beyond their own class and grade.

Great job by Foothills for implementing a fun and engaging program to engage the students this year. May the best house win!
