Middle school and high school students from across Jordan District are showing off their artistic talents with an art show at the Viridian Center/West Jordan City Library. The artwork displayed is incredible featuring everything from paintings and drawings to sculptures and photography. The pieces are unique and colorful, all created by young student artists.
The works of art will be on display in the lobby of the library.

Congratulations to the amazing young artists in Jordan School District!
She was up against really tough competition on a national stage that included both middle and high school students. Join us in congratulating Rebecca Mcquire, a ninth grade South Jordan Middle School student, who recently took second place in the 2022 National Chinese Speech Contest. Rebecca was the youngest in the group and did an amazing job in the competition, which was conducted online over the weekend. Principal Nicole Johnson says Rebecca is a dedicated and well-versed student in the Chinese Dual Language Immersion program at South Jordan Middle and Rebecca’s teacher, HsiuMei Pitts, does a phenomenal job coaching and teaching her students.
It was a lesson in city government filled with fun, laughter and a lot of good information coming from a man who has a lot to share. Third grade students at Columbia Elementary School had a very special guest visit their classroom to talk about the workings of city government.
