Celebrating Students Back for the 2025-26 School Year!

We are so excited to welcome students back for the 2025-26 school year. Jordan School District high school students were greeted with heartfelt cheers, high fives, big smiles, and fist bumps as they made their way to the first day of classes.

It was orientation day for 7th grade students at our middle schools. We are excited to support them in their transition from elementary school and hoping they find success in their new academic adventures.

Welcome back students, teachers, and staff! Have the best year ever.

Oquirrh Hills Middle School Revs Up For School Year

Back-to-school night at Oquirrh Hills Middle School was filled with music, chatting with friends, talking with new teachers, and the sounds of muscle car engines. The theme of the upcoming year at Oquirrh Hills is “You Are In The Driver’s Seat” to encourage students to be in control of their education and the school hosted a car show with their back-to-school night to get everyone in the mindset. Students found lockers and classrooms inside and checked out some new and classic cars from their community outside of the school.

A special thank you goes out to Riverton Police Department for showcasing a pair of squad trucks and UTA for bringing a bus and educating the students about public transportation in the area.

Welcome back and have a great school year Oquirrh Hills Eagles!

Jordan District Sophomores Prepare For High School Years

The halls of Jordan District high school’s have come alive as back-to-school season is underway. Sophomore orientation allowed incoming students a chance to explore their new school, check out Chromebooks, get a yearbook photo, and say hello to old friends and make some new ones. Students could also meet student body officers and investigate all the clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities available to them.

Good luck to all Jordan School District sophomores in the upcoming school year as they prepare to write the next chapter in their education!

South Valley School Staff Builds Camaraderie with Building Blocks

Educators at South Valley School got together for some team building using building blocks to kick off their year. The school theme for the year is “Building the Future Together,” and the educators took this theme literally as they worked in groups to build the fastest LEGO car at their staff welcome meeting.

A special congrats goes to the team of Ms. Egan, Mr. Holdaway, Ms. Lane, Ms. Roylance, and Ms. Ward of Class 3. Their LEGO racer proved to have the best aerodynamics and the most muscle under the hood, placing them on the top step of the podium. Have a great school year South Valley, and keep building up your students brick by brick!
