It was a special night as the Jordan School District Board of Education honored members of the 2023 class of retirees. The Board sponsored a special dinner for retirees and recognized the various employee groups, thanking them for their years of service supporting students and education in the District. South Jordan Middle School teacher Lauryn Macedone performed, singing several beautiful numbers, accompanied by her husband James on guitar.
This year, Lynda Peterson is the longest serving retiree with 44 years working in Jordan School District as a teacher. The 2023 class of retirees spent a total of 2,167 years in education.
Congratulations and thank you for your dedication and countless years of service! Your hard work serving students throughout Jordan School District has made a lasting impression on young lives. Best of luck in your retirement.
