Sunset Ridge Middle School Hosts Community Eclipse Viewing Party

Around 100 community members gathered at Sunset Ridge Middle on Saturday morning to witness an annular solar eclipse as it passed over Utah. The school’s staff was there to hand out proper solar viewing glasses and science teachers shared their knowledge of the celestial event.

Sunset Ridge Middle School staff did a great job getting the community together for a fun and educational event. April 8, 2024, will be the next time students in Jordan School District can see an eclipse, with only about 48% of the sun covered while the moon’s shadow passes over the Wasatch Front.
