Celebrating a Love for Literacy with Lots of Reading at Bastian Elementary School

They came from different departments in Jordan School District, like Human Resources and Accounting. Associate Superintendent Mike Anderson showed up, along with Herriman Mayor Lorin Palmer and Jordan School District Board Member Bryce Dunford, as well as plenty of others from the local community. They were all having fun reading to students at Bastian Elementary School to celebrate “Read Across America Day.”

This is a day set aside to inspire a life-long love for literacy in students. It is also a day to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss, reading books like “The Cat in the Hat” and “Green Eggs and Ham.” Thanks to everyone who took the time out of their busy schedules to show students reading is something to embrace and love no matter where you are in life.
