Congratulations Rocky Peak Virtual Elementary Students; You Rock Reading!

Rocky Peak Virtual Elementary students recently achieved a remarkable milestone, reaching a 90% attendance rate in their virtual “Walk to Read” program. This impressive feat earned them a really fun reward, the chance to pie their principal, Mr. Menlove, in the face!

Students gathered at Majestic Elementary Arts Academy and Hidden Valley Middle School to take part in the celebration. Mr. Menlove was joined by a beloved “Peak Time” teacher, Mr. Southworth, and several other enthusiastic teachers bravely facing the pies.

Students, parents, and staff all came together to applaud the hard work and dedication of the young readers. Laughter and cheers were infectious as pies flew, marking a memorable day for everyone involved.

This celebration not only highlighted the students’ commitment to their reading goals, but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie. It was a great way to acknowledge the achievements of Rocky Peak students and inspire them to continue their literacy journey.

Kudos to the incredible students for their dedication and to Mr. Menlove, Mr. Southworth, and all the teachers who joined in the fun. Here’s to more reading milestones and sweet celebrations in the future!
