They are young minds ready to invest in their futures, learning about financial success. On Wednesday, more than 250 ninth grade students, representing all 12 middle schools in Jordan School District, met at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus for a seminar called “Future Money Makers Mashup.”
Students who showed an aptitude for finance based on their YouScience results were invited to the event to learn how finance can be more than just careers in banking or Wall Street. More than a dozen presenters spoke about their careers in finance, representing a diverse group of industries, including aerospace, arts, construction, engineering, education, hospitality, and marketing.
The event was made possible by a sponsorship from Cyprus Credit Union and a partnership with the South Valley Chamber of Commerce. A special thank you to all the presenters for sharing their time and knowledge with Jordan School District students.
