A high school student receiving an appointment to a United States Service Academy is a rare achievement, but Copper Hills High School has
done something almost unheard of by having two students receive appointments to West Point to enroll in the United States Military Academy.
Both Asher Bowcutt and Zoe Hein are academic standouts with a 4.0 GPA and track and field stars who will take their talents to the Army right after graduating high school.
Asher was a captain on both the Grizzly football and track and field teams, where he holds school records in shot put and discus. Zoe was Senior Class President, a captain on the track team, a school record holder in the long jump, 100m, 200m, and relay races, as well as an AAU All-American. Both were named Academic All-State by UHSAA this year.
Congratulations to Zoe and Asher! Thank you for serving your country, and best of luck in your college endeavors at West Point.
