Prom night was especially memorable this year at West Jordan High School, thanks to thoughtful students who organized a pre-prom “Self-Care Event” designed to help their classmates look and feel their best, without the high price tag. The event was filled with free services and giveaways to make sure everyone had the chance to attend prom with confidence.
Students were treated to various free services like haircuts, styling, braiding, wigs, manicures, lash lifts, eyebrow tinting, teeth whitening, and waxing. The event also provided free prom dresses, suits, jewelry, and custom corsages and boutonnièrs supplies. It was all in preparation for the West Jordan High School prom.
The event was organized by student peer leaders from “Sources of Strength,” a program that promotes connection and well-being at the school. Led by teacher Robyn Briggs, the group partners with community members to make experiences at the school unforgettable.
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this inspiring celebration of kindness.
