Jordan School District Educators Connect and Collaborate on New “Portrait of a Graduate” at Annual Training

Jordan School District Professional Development Day Thousands of Jordan School District teachers returned from summer break to a day of professional development aimed at preparing them for the 2025-26 school year. The districtwide event focused on collaboration and equipping educators with new tools and strategies.

In the morning, teachers selected from a variety of keynote speakers who addressed topics ranging from artificial intelligence and building student confidence to reconnecting with students and bridging the gap between educational theory and classroom practice.

The afternoon session introduced the District’s new “Portrait of a Graduate,” a key initiative designed to shape students’ academic and personal growth. Educators participated in sessions to understand and implement this new framework.

Thank you to all the educators for participating in this important professional development day and making their return to start the 2025-26 school year one to remember. The day’s events underscore the District’s commitment to supporting its teachers and ensuring a strong start to the academic year.
