It was an exciting day for kindergarten and first-grade students at Blackridge Elementary School as they learned firsthand about safety on the school bus. The lesson began with a short assembly and students watching a safety video.
Then it was outside to the big yellow school bus where the students learned how to get on and off the bus safely, the importance of staying seated on the school bus with hands on their laps and their feet on the floor. They also learned the importance of always staying in the driver’s line of sight and never running behind the bus. The students found out how to properly conduct an emergency evacuation and follow safe crossing procedures.
The school bus safety presentations are held at every elementary school throughout Jordan School District. Thanks to our dedicated school bus drivers and Transportation staff for doing all they can to keep kids safe each and every day.
