Unified High School Soccer teams from Bingham, Copper Hills, Herriman, Mountain Ridge, Riverton, and West Jordan joined teams from across the state to compete in this year’s Unified Soccer Championship. The tournament started with a day of games at the Real Salt Lake’s Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman. Winners from group play then moved on to contest for a state title the next day at America First Field in Sandy.
Teams from Bingham, Herriman, and West Jordan each advanced to their Championship game at the home of Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals, with Bingham and Herriman winning the state championship in their respective divisions. Two teams were declared champions, but everyone who participated went home winners with the smiles to prove it.
Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed, and thank you to the coaches, volunteers, officials, and supporters who make unified sports in Jordan School District a memorable and special experience for everyone involved.
