Students at Joel P. Jensen Middle School spent the month of December building holiday spirit with their annual Panther Express fundraiser, rallying support for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. This year’s initiative, driven by the student government, not only raised much-needed funds but also allowed students to take hands-on volunteer shifts at the Habitat ReStore.
Students took on various hands-on tasks, like stocking shelves, pricing items, and assembling furniture at the store. They also raised funds with themed activities at the school and through community outreach events, such as a “Rubber Ducky Derby” at the Gene Fullmer Recreation Center. All the money raised will help build safe, affordable housing in Utah.
Joel P. Jensen students took great pride and joy in helping create this year’s Panther Express, illustrating what can be achieved when the community comes together.
