It was a magical day for some teens in Jordan School District as the Jordan Education Foundation hosted the “Christmas for Kids” event.
Students who might otherwise receive little this holiday season teamed up with volunteer chaperones for a $175 shopping trip at Walmart in South Jordan. Chaperones helped the students find the items on their shopping list while creating a positive and supportive environment. Santa, community leaders, local firefighters, and police officers also joined the fun and helped spread the holiday cheer.
Community contributions and local business donations to the Jordan Education Foundation make “Christmas for Kids” possible every year.
