Herriman and West Jordan Boys Track & Field Teams Take Home State Titles

Congratulations to the boys track teams at Herriman and West Jordan High School on winning the 6A and 5A UHSAA State Championships! For both teams, it was the first state title in boys track & field in school history.

Herriman took home the 6A boys team title with a score of 109.5, easily topping second-place Lone Peak’s 85. The Mustangs were led by their distance team, which scored 80 points, including 30 from Jackson Spencer, who is undefeated in both cross country and track this year.

In the final event of the 5A meet, West Jordan won the 4×400 relay to top Viewmont by a single point. West Jordan set five new school records during the meet, including a state record in the 4x100m relay.
