Congratulations to an extraordinary group of students who just earned their one-year Engineering Design and Manufacturing Technology certification from Salt Lake Community College—three weeks before their high school graduation! These students joined Jordan PREP (PRe-freshman Engineering Program) during the height of the COVID pandemic. Six years later, after online classes, rigorous academic courses, personal growth, and hard work, they walked across the stage at SLCC’s graduation ceremony. Four of the graduates are first-generation college students, and each walked with honors.
Jordan PREP is a rigorous, math-focused summer enrichment program that identifies high-achieving students with a strong interest in STEM and prepares them for advanced academic success.
