Music was in the air at Copper Hills High School as students from the Copper Hills feeder system gathered for “Bandstravaganza.” The event introduced local elementary school students to the wide variety of opportunities that await them in middle and high school. Students learned about the different instruments that make up a band, and a few lucky volunteers tried their hand at drums and color guard.

The day wasn’t just about learning about band; it was also a chance to display the musical talents of their fellow students. A “megaband” of over 130 students from West Hills Middle School and Sunset Ridge Middle School played three numbers. Copper Hills showcased its jazz band, marching band, and color guard to its future students, giving them something to aspire to as they start their musical journeys.
