Students at Heartland Elementary received a sweet and healthy surprise after lunch as the school celebrated Apple Crunch Day. Jordan School District Nutrition Services staff set up on the playground and gave prizes to students who listened to apple facts, voted at the tasting table, and learned about how apples go from local farms to their lunch trays.

Apple Crunch Day is an annual celebration during National Farm to School Month to support local farmers and teach students about where their food comes from.
