Riverside Elementary Students Create Colorful and Moving Día de los Muertos Museum

Students at Riverside Elementary School celebrated Día de los Muertos with a miniature Día de Los Muertos museum. Dozens of shoebox-sized ofrendas were created to celebrate life and death and honor family members, friends, and pets who have passed away. Displays were hand-decorated with photos, lights, flowers, and mementos important to those who have passed on. Each grade spent time walking through the gym to learn about the holiday and connect with the memories of those who have passed away.

Thank you to fifth-grade teacher Kathy Wride and all of the students who have created a memorable and moving tradition of celebrating Día de los Muertos at Riverside Elementary.
