Sept. 24 Board Meeting Update

You are invited to a meeting of the Board of Education of Jordan School District on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the JATC South Campus, 12723 S. Park Avenue, Riverton, Utah. The study session begins at 4 p.m. The Regular Board Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Patrons may view the general session online at boardmeeting.jordandistrict.org.

Policies that will be discussed include administrative policies Administrative Policy AA440 Library Media Selection and Review, New Administrative Policy AA453 Use of Personal Electronic and Communication Devices (Cell Phone Policy).

It’s an app that allows parents to check on their own child’s school bus location and the estimated time of arrival at the bus stop each day. Mountain Ridge High School Students Reach for the Stars with Bottle Rocket Science Project

MRHS students launch bottle rockets Mountain Ridge High School students took on a stimulating project involving launching bottle rockets to explore physics principles. Through this interactive project, students were tasked with designing, constructing, and testing their own rockets to observe how far they could soar. Fueled by water, the rockets utilized varying amounts of water to demonstrate the impact on their flight trajectory.

Kudos to the science teachers at Mountain Ridge High School for crafting such a captivating lesson for students. Initiatives like these propel students towards a deeper level of learning, fostering curiosity and hands-on engagement in science.

Bingham High School Students Gather for High Energy Homecoming Kickoff Assembly

It was all smiles and high energy as Bingham High School students and staff gathered for a fun and entertaining Homecoming assembly. The assembly kicks off Homecoming week at Bingham High School and featured cheerleaders, talented dancers, Bingham traditions, games, and amazing performances.

The week of fun and excitement concludes with the big football game on Friday night and the Homecoming dance on Saturday. The theme of this year’s dance is “Homecoming, Do You Remember?”
