Rocky Peak, Kelsey Peak, and Kings Peak virtual schools teamed up for an epic trunk-or-treat party. The parking lot was full of amazing costumes, creatively decorated cars, games, and candy. Inside, students and their families could watch a movie or do an art project. There was also a grab-and-go food drive for anyone looking to donate or needing some additional help to take home.

The highlight for many was the haunted bus organized by Kings Peak students, which gave anyone brave enough to enter a good scare. Congrats to our awesome virtual schools on their fifth successful trunk-or-treat and their first at the new Jordan Learning Center campus!

Halloween fun at Westland Elementary School!

Congratulations to the Herriman High School Boys Cross Country team on capturing the 6A State Championship! Led by coach Doug Soles, the Mustangs edged out American Fork to claim back-to-back 6A UHSAA Championships.

Jackson Spencer led the way for the Mustangs, winning the individual title and setting a Utah state championship record. Spencer completed the 5k course at Sugarhouse Park in 14:29.78 and beat his nearest competitor on the day by 48 seconds. Thanks to incredible performances like this, Spencer is the top-ranked high school cross country runner in the country.

Third-grade students in Ms. Drope’s class at Columbia Elementary School returned from Fall Break to find an ofrenda had been placed in their class. The students learned about the history and traditions of the ofrenda and its place in Dia de Muertos celebrations.

Students who wished could bring photos of family members who have passed on to display on the class ofrenda to commemorate and remember them. Thank you, Ms. Drope’s class, for sharing this very special lesson.
