Mountain Point Students Show Off Dance Moves During “Programa Cultural”

Dances from around the Spanish-speaking world were displayed at Mountain Point Elementary School’s “Programa Cultural.” The assembly allowed the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) students the opportunity to showcase cultures that speak Spanish to their parents and peers by performing dances from Spanish-speaking countries like Spain, Mexico, and Uruguay.

Mountain Point is one of 10 Dual-Language elementary schools in Jordan School District: four Spanish, four Chinese, one French, and one Portuguese. Elementary school students in the DLI program spend half their day learning in English and the other half in their DLI language and go on to take the AP Exam in middle school and University-level classes in High School.
