The Jordan School District Board of Education will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the JATC South Campus (Board Conference Room), 12723 S. Park Avenue (2080 West), Riverton, Utah for consideration of a boundary change. Schools impacted by this change include: Aspen Elementary, Bastian Elementary, Butterfield Canyon Elementary, Herriman Elementary, and Oak Leaf Elementary Schools.

Announcement of Jordan School District Board of Education Member Vacancy District 3
The Board of Education of Jordan School District announces a midterm vacancy in District 3. District 3 geographically covers some areas within the cities of South Jordan and Riverton. The Board of Education will meet on Monday, November 25 at 6:00 p.m. and/or Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. to interview applicants for this position. These meetings will take place in the Jordan Academy for Technology and Careers South Campus, 12723 S. Park Avenue (2080 West), Riverton UT. It is expected the Board will appoint a person at its November 26, 2024 6:30 p.m. business meeting to fulfill the remainder of the unexpired term that runs from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026.
The qualifications for a local board of education (Utah Code 20A-14-202) are:
- Shall have been a resident of the local school board district in which the person is seeking election for at least one year as of the date of the election [appointment].
- Be and remain a registered voter in the local school board district from which the member is elected or appointed.
- Maintain primary residence within the local school board district from which the member is elected or appointed.
- A member of a local school board may not, during the member’s term in office, also serve as an employee of that board.

Campus View Drive, West Jordan, Utah, from John Larsen, Business Administrator, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The application may also be downloaded from the Jordan School District website at: jordandistrict.org/wp-content/uploads/boe_application.pdf. The completed application and affidavit must be returned to the same office or emailed to john.larsen@jordandistrict.org by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024.
