Community Connections, Food, Fun, Prizes and Amazing Music at the 2024 Fall Family Fair

It was an evening of connections, resources, music, student performances, and most importantly, fun at the 2024 Fall Family Fair at the Veridian in West Jordan. This event is always an excellent opportunity for JSD students and their families to connect with community resources and have a great time.

The Fair, hosted by JSD Culture and Language Services, features departments from across the District. The Superintendents of Rock also made an appearance, showing up to entertain the crowd.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s fair such a big success!

The Incredibles Kick Off PTA Jogathon at the Incredible Jordan Ridge Elementary School

They are incredible students at an incredible school. That’s why some superheroes calling themselves the “Incredibles” were on hand at Jordan Ridge Elementary as they held a kickoff assembly for the upcoming PTA jogathon. The “Incredibles” attended a school called Incredible Ridge and they wanted to inspire Jordan Ridge students to do their best in the Jogathon, using synergy and working together to achieve their goals. Students also found out about some amazing prizes that will be up for grabs during the Jogathon.

This year, Jordan Ridge is going above and beyond for their Jogathon, hoping to help support students with special needs at the Kauri Sue Hamilton School as well. Because Kauri Sue doesn’t have its own PTA, Jordan Ridge Elementary is reaching out to people and businesses in the broader community, encouraging them to make a donation to Kauri Sue (through the Jordan Education Foundation) so Jordan Ridge and others can show the students with special needs how much they care.

Way to go Jordan Ridge! Best of luck during this year’s PTA Jogathon on September 17.

Daybreak Elementary School Kicks off School Year with Inspiration and Team Building

They are coming together as team, ready for a fantastic school year! “Team Daybreak” kicked off the year with an inspirational assembly led by Herriman High School head basketball Coach Doug Meacham and some of his players. They gave students some pointers on what it takes to be a team player and talked about how good grades and academics are just as important as playing sports and athletics. The basketball players also reminded students the importance of always being kind.

Thanks to Coach Meacham and his players for taking time to inspire young students, and helping “Team Daybreak” get the school year started on a positive note! We hope it’s a winning year for everyone.
