Oquirrh Hills Middle School Raises Money and Spirits at Family Fun Night
The community at Oquirrh Hills Middle School filled the hallways with fun, games, and treats all for a good cause at Family Fun Night. The indoor carnival is part of the school’s “OquirrhFest” holiday giving campaign. Proceeds from the event and all of Oquirrhfest fundraising benefits SADS (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes) Foundation, which aims to save lives and support children, adults, and families affected by genetic heart conditions that predispose them to sudden death due to arrhythmias.
Games and activities were around every corner in the school as students, families, and friends could participate in a robotics course, play elf slingshot, pin the nose on the reindeer, check out some student art, or join a Kpop dance party in the library. Treats like ice cream, baked goods, and even some elf spaghetti satisfied the holiday sweet tooths in attendance.
Great job Oquirrh Hills students, staff, and volunteers on a wonderful night out supporting a worthy cause.
Riverton Elementary Students Get Creative with Handmade Ornaments for School Christmas Tree
It was a labor of love and lots of fun for students at Riverton Elementary School. Every class got creative making hundreds of handmade ornaments for the school’s Christmas tree, which is proudly on display for everyone to see and enjoy in the main office. There are original ornaments, snowmen, reindeer, nutcrackers, and gingerbread men. One class even made a very, very long and pretty paper chain that wraps around the entire tree.
Great work Riverton Elementary students! You made the holidays even brighter for everyone in the halls of your school during this fun and festive season.
