Mountain Ridge High School Kicks Off the Holiday Season with the “Season of Scarlet” Fundraising Drive

Kicking off the holiday fundraising drive, the “Season of Scarlet,” at Mountain Ridge High School, students announced this year’s charity partner, the Be Brave Baylee Foundation. The nonprofit helps burn survivors aid their recovery by covering the costs of attending a “Burn Camp,” where they connect with others recovering from severe burns.

The “Season of Scarlet” has become a powerful tradition at Mountain Ridge High School, with students raising over $142,000 last year for the Millie’s Princess Foundation.

Thank you to all the students, staff, and families for helping to make the tradition of holiday giving significantly impact our communities!

Golden Fields Elementary Celebrates Thanksgiving

A cornucopia of fun Thanksgiving traditions were on display at Golden Fields Elementary School. First graders treated the school to their “Turkey Tunes” assembly, complete with songs and turkey costumes. Second-grade students Turkey-Trotted down the halls with noisemakers, and third-grade students marched down the halls in the Golden Fields Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade with personally designed balloon floats.

The fun wasn’t limited to the hallways and the gym; individual classes had their own crafts and activities. For example, Ms. Kothlow’s class enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving school lunch together in the classroom, complete with placemats and pumpkin pie for dessert.

Happy Thanksgiving to Golden Fields and all the amazing students and staff in Jordan School District!

South Valley School Students Celebrate Thanksgiving with Festive Holiday Turkey Party

Staff at South Valley School kicked off the Thanksgiving holiday with a party that brought joy and gratitude to students and staff alike. Alongside the beloved annual turkey bowling games, the party showcased the incredible efforts of students who collected over 2,000 food items for the Principal Pantry, helping fellow students in need.

To celebrate their accomplishment, each class had a student throw a whipped cream pie at a staff member as a reward for all their hard work. Students burst out in laughter as whipped cream flew through the air, creating many memorable moments.

The gymnasium was transformed into a vibrant Thanksgiving-themed bowling alley, complete with inflatable turkeys and music from a DJ. Students held signs encouraging bowlers to get strikes and spares, while staff members danced in turkey-themed costumes and hats.

Together, staff created not just fun memories, but a sense of community and belonging. Nice work to everyone who helped bring joy to the students of South Valley School this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving!
