Middle School Teachers Send Students Off to Summer Break with Unforgettable Talent Show

Unbeknownst to students, West Hills Middle School teachers spent hours putting the final touches on their choreographed routines and tuning their instruments in preparation for the end-of-year school talent show. The performances ranged from an 80s rock piece featuring the song “The Final Count Down,” to an original dance by teachers dressed up as Napoleon Dynomite.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as students and staff enthusiastically cheered on performances. The joy and thrill of the performance were palpable, and the memories of their favorite performances will undoubtedly linger for a long time.

Great job, West Hills Middle School teachers and staff for finding an incredible way to end the school year.

West Jordan Middle School Shows the Love for Resource Officer Chris Reyes

It was a big surprise and an even bigger show of love and support for West Jordan Middle School Resource Officer Chris Reyes. The school’s faculty, staff, and students honored Detective Reyes with a well-kept secret, surprising him at a school awards assembly. On stage, in front of a packed auditorium, Detective Reyes was told he was being charged (in a good way) with committing big acts of kindness, being responsive and always available to support any situation at the school, being a friend to all, being overall amazing, and always keeping students safe.

West Jordan City Mayor Dirk Burton and members of the West Jordan Police Department were on hand, along with Jordan School District Safety Coordinator Matt Alvernaz, to applaud Detective Reyes and show their support for all he does as a Resource Officer at West Jordan Middle.

Congratulations, Detective Chris Reyes, thank you for all you do to protect and serve students, teachers, staff, and the West Jordan Middle Community.

High Fives for West Jordan High School Seniors During Inspirational “Graduation Walk”

It was a fun and somewhat emotional walk down memory lane for West Jordan High School seniors the day before graduation. The students participated in a “Graduation Walk,” where they walked up and down the halls of their former elementary and middle schools greeting students and connecting with former teachers. It was a special reunion and it meant a lot to the graduates and teachers who played such a big part in their early education and lives.

The graduates also use the walk to inspire and encourage younger students to take advantage of their educational opportunities and dream big for a bright future.

Thanks for the inspiration, West Jordan High seniors!
