It was a wonderful evening of celebrations at the most recent meeting of the Jordan School District Board of Education. Mountain Creek Middle School students were on hand to talk about the amazing things happening at their school. McKenzie Hansen, a student body officer, said students take great pride in their school every single day. She described Mountain Creek as a safe and innovative school where everyone feels like family. As part of the Mountain Creek presentation, a very talented 9th grade student, Chanelle Mella, performed a beautiful rendition of Anastasia’s “Journey to the Past.”
Board members then recognized the Bingham High School cheer team for winning first place in State competition and for taking the national title at the National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
They also recognized the Mountain Ridge High School Girls wrestling team for their recent 6A State championship.
Congratulation to all of our amazing students, their teachers, coaches, and mentors! Keep up the great work. You make us proud.
