Congratulations to our amazing District employees and volunteers who are recipients of the Region 6 PTA awards.
The awards were given out at the recent Board of Education meeting by Sonja Delaney, director of Region 6 PTA, Cammy Whitchurch, assistant director; and Ann Howden, awards specialist.
It was an exciting day at Riverton High as KSL NewsRadio broadcast live from the school as part of their “KSL in Your Community” statewide tour. The broadcast included two KSL morning shows “Tim and Amanda,” and “Dave & Dujenovic.” Thank you for spotlighting the great students, teachers, and staff at Riverton High and others doing great things throughout Jordan School District. It is a high school Medical Forensics class which focuses on the proper way of documenting and processing a crime scene and on this day, it does not involve work in the classroom.
On this episode of the Supercast, we will take you on a unique field trip where forensics students are getting their hands dirty, with hands-on learning, digging deep into the science of medical forensics. Surrounded by police cars and crime scene tape they are crime solving students in action.
The Jordan Association of Elementary School Principals winners are nominated by Jordan School District employees from across the District.
JAESP board members presented each winner with an award at their school and they were invited to a special breakfast with Superintendent Anthony Godfrey. All of the winners now advance to the UAESP state competition.
