On this episode of the Supercast, join us as we take our own microscopic look into the Bio Tech program inside JATC North. It is a program where young student scientists study things like genetics, DNA isolation, protein methodologies, and much more. Some students are even engaged in finding cures for life-threatening illnesses like cancer.

On this episode of the Supercast, we take you inside Barbara Steven’s 5th grade classroom at South Jordan Elementary School where the Wit and Wisdom language arts curriculum is helping students develop a love for reading and for being exceptional writers. In fact, Mrs. Stevens got them so excited about reading and writing, they decided to become young authors. Listen and find out how.


Work Progressing on the New Juniper Elementary School in Herriman

Crews have been hard at work throughout the summer making sure Juniper Elementary School in Herriman is ready to go when students arrive for the very first year learning and making lasting memories and traditions at the new school.

Furniture has been delivered with desks going into classrooms. Office furniture has arrived as well and carpet is being installed. Outside, crews are working on landscaping, finishing some sod work.

Juniper Elementary is opening for the 2024-25 school year and will be home to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students from Ridge View Elementary School.

Principal Kaleb Yates is very excited and has been very busy planning to welcome students, parents, teachers, and staff to the new school.

State Award and Recognition for Jordan School District Systems and Security Manager

Picture of David BowmanPlease join us in congratulating Jordan School District Systems and Security Manager David Bowman, who recently received a big surprise at the Utah Education and Telehealth Network (UETN) Tech Summit. Mr. Bowman was honored as this year’s recipient of the “Bob Potts Service Award.”

The award is given to an individual who has continued the tradition of outstanding service to the Utah education technology community and for embodying Bob Potts ‘pitch-in’ nature of going above and beyond to help wherever and whenever needed.
