West Jordan Middle Students Take First Place in State “We the People” Competition

West Jordan Middle School Students Pose for a StudentJoin us in congratulating West Jordan Middle School students for their recent victory at the statewide “We the People” competition. WJMS took home first place for the southern division at Utah Valley University. In fact, West Jordan Middle defeated five other schools to win first place for the second time in the last five years.

“We the People” is an in-depth research and presentation project that helps students gain a deep level of knowledge about the United States government, the Constitution and Founding Documents, rights and responsibilities of citizens.

West Jordan Middle provides this amazing educational experience to the entire 8th grade.

West Jordan Middle appreciates all the volunteers who assisted in the school level competition helping students prepare for State. Thanks to members of Jordan School District administration, the Utah State Office of Education, and Utah legislative interns for participating as judges in the WJMS competition.

Congratulations to the amazing West Jordan Middle students!
