Students Win Art Contest and Receive Ride to School on a West Jordan City Fire Engine

It wasn’t your typical ride to school for Westvale Elementary School’s Jordan Babai and Westland Elementary’s Brandon Pattanamak. West Jordan City firefighters picked up the two students along with a few of their friends and drove them to school on a big red fire engine. It was a reward for Brandon and Jordan who were winners in the Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Week Art Contest. The theme of this year’s contest was “Fire Won’t Wait, Plan Your Escape.” Students who participated in the contest had to create artwork representing that theme.

Thanks to West Jordan City firefighters for promoting fire safety and giving students an opportunity to participate in Fire Prevention Week in a fun and educational way.
