Mountain Point Elementary School Teacher is Honored as a Utah Jazz MVE, “Most Valuable Educator”

Charity Horne received the Utah Jazz's MVP Educator AwardIt was a huge surprise for a very deserving first-grade teacher at Mountain Point Elementary School. The Utah Jazz showed up during a school assembly, along with the Jazz Bear, to honor Charity Horne as a Utah Jazz MVE, “Most Valuable Educator.” The award is given during the regular basketball season and recognizes teachers who are an inspiration.

Mountain Point Principal Elizabeth Felt says Ms. Horne is the kind of teacher who makes learning vivid, hands-on, and fun, she is a cheerleader to everyone around her. A member of the community nominated Ms. Horne for the award. Her principal also says Ms. Horne gives 100 percent in everything she does at school, elevating everyone around her. She does everything with joy.
