Copper Hills High Students Set State Record in Amount of Blood Donated to ARUP

Student donating blood. They are saving lives thanks to their hard work and dedication donating blood through blood drives organized by Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).

Copper Hills High students gathered this week for their fourth ARUP blood drive of the school year to benefit patients at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and University of Utah Hospitals. The students managed to donate 130 units of blood, setting a state record for most blood ever collected by a high school in an academic year for ARUP. By breaking the state record, Copper Hills High students alone donated more than 500 units of life-saving blood over the course of this school year. They are very excited and proud of their work, contributing blood products that will forever impact the lives of patients who so desperately need them.

Congratulations, Copper Hills High students and HOSA!
