Eleven students from Jordan School District high schools are representing the District at the national SkillsUSA Championship this week in Atlanta, Georgia. These talented students are putting their hands-on training to the test in a range of career pathways, including barbering, nail care, motorcycle service, automotive maintenance and light repair, automotive refinishing, and collision damage appraisal.
The competition is a part of the annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, where more than 6,000 students from across the country compete in skilled trades and leadership events. The Jordan School District students earned their place by excelling at the state-level competition earlier this year. Their participation underscores the significance of career and technical education in equipping students for real-world success in high-demand industries.
Congratulations to the JSD students participating in SkillsUSA. Wishing you all the best of luck in your competitions!
