Students enrolled in Jordan PREP (PRe freshman Engineering Program) are spending the summer engaged in hands-on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects. The six-week mathematics-based summer enrichment program gives middle school students with aptitude in S.T.E.M. the opportunity to code, construct roller coasters, program robots, take field trips into the community, and more, preparing them for success in STEM fields as they enter High School.
The program runs for a minimum of three consecutive summers. Students who complete seven years in the program graduate with a degree from Salt Lake Community College in Engineering Drafting and Manufacturing Technology, weeks before their High School graduation.
