Student leaders at Copper Canyon Elementary School took a break from the fun summer activities to share a message of kindness on the wall of their school’s gym. Twelve students and two staff members painted the mural that says, “Choose Kindness. It matters!” Mountain Ridge High School Sterling Scholar Chelsah Thomas designed the mural.
After completing the mural, the student council made posters and invited all students to write ways to spread kindness. They shared their thoughts on sticky notes.
Great job, Copper Canyon Elementary students and staff, spreading a positive message to your community.

It started out small, with a handful of virtual school administrators meeting, virtually of course, to discuss what is working and what can be enhanced in the virtual learning experience for students in Utah. The conversations were so productive, the meetings began to take place on a monthly basis. As a result, the Utah Virtual Learning Collaborative was formed.
