He believes that counselors can make a significant difference in the lives of students and can help them overcome challenges, be authentic, and achieve success in their goals. Because of the difference he makes in the lives of students every day, West Jordan High’s Brandt Haberman is being honored as a Wasatch Front School Counselor Fair “Counselor of the Year.”
Brandt was selected as a “Counselor of the Year,” in part, for his focus on suicide prevention and for recognizing the critical need for intervention and support for students struggling with mental health issues. In just a few short years, he has helped bolster suicide prevention programs and resources in Jordan School District, making a positive impact on the lives of students.
Mr. Haberman is well-respected by his colleagues and students alike. He is known for his kind and compassionate approach to counseling and for his unwavering commitment to student success.
