The vibrant colors, joyful sounds, and rich traditions of the Lunar New Year were brought to life by Monte Vista Elementary School’s Chinese Dual Language Immersion students during a celebration at Bingham High School. The event was a way for students to showcase their hard work learning a second language.

Great job, students and staff, for putting on such an incredible performance. What a great way to ring in the “Year of the Snake.”
In honor of “National School Counseling Week,” we want to send a sincere message of thanks to the hard-working school counselors throughout Jordan School District. These dedicated men and women go above and beyond every single day, working hard to support students in so many different ways.
This year’s theme is “School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive.” It is a full week devoted to highlighting the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
We encourage you to drop by your counseling center and show your gratitude by offering a word of thanks to the counseling staff. School counselors are here to help students by preparing students for future careers, academic advising, help with social/emotional development, and ensuring today’s students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.
Thank you to all of our school counselors making a difference in the lives of Jordan School District students.
The Beverley Taylor Sorenson (BTS) program recently held an open house for the Utah Legislature and community leaders at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art in Salt Lake City. One of the highlights during the evening was a captivating performance by students from Miss Beesley’s class at Eastlake Elementary School. The students showcased their dance skills, taught by Eastlake’s BTS educator, Ciara Brady. BTS artwork was also on display while students from other schools across the state showcased dance and drama performances.
The open house celebrated the incredible integration of various art forms with core academic content. Great job, Eastlake students and educators, for an excellent performance!
They are devoted to students and education, always inspiring others around them. We want to congratulate this year’s Jordan Association of Elementary School Principals (JAESP) Award winners.
These amazing educators are nominated by Jordan School District employees from across the District. Members of the JAESP committee were very impressed by this year’s nominees and extend their sincere thanks to each of them for their hard work, dedication, determination, empathy, and skills.
JAESP board members presented each winner with an award at their school and they now advance to the UAESP State competition.
Congratulations to the following:
