West Jordan High School Student Music Video is Moving Beyond Words

It is a music video that is beyond amazing. Choir Teacher Keith Evans says students in the West Jordan High School pop group “Encore” worked incredibly hard on the project giving it their all with sensational vocals and some serious acting. There is even a cameo from the school’s in-house faculty band “Paper Jam.” Congratultions to Mr. Evans and his student rockstars!

We invite you to watch the music video and enjoy!

Copper Hills High Students Saving Lives with Tradition of Successful Blood Drives

Copper Hills High HOSA Students

They count on Copper Hills High School every year and students, teachers, and staff always come through. Once again, the school rallied behind an ARUP blood drive and broke an all-time record. On May 8th CHHS registered 247 donors, collecting 170 units of whole blood. That is the biggest, most successful blood drive ever at the school.

The high school blood drives play a huge part in saving lives. ARUP Blood Services says it needs at least 75 donors a day and 2,200 units of whole blood per month.

At Copper Hills one student in particular has been passionate about doing his part. Andon Richards, who is graduating this year, has donated blood at every single CHHS blood drive since his sophomore year. Andon never missed even one blood drive!

Thanks to Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and everyone at Copper Hills High School for caring so deeply about others and saving lives by donating blood.

Stars and Smiles Shine Bright at Kauri Sue Hamilton School Prom

It was a night of fun, dancing, photos, and fabulous memories. Kauri Sue Hamilton students dressed in their best with big smiles and gathered for their Starlight Dance Prom along with teachers, staff, and students from Riverton High School.

Thanks to everyone who made the incredible night possible, including Laura Taylor and the Riverton High School Peer Leadership Team for planning, decorating, and then dancing the night away with Kauri Sue students.

Also, a big thanks to Ross Rogers for deejaying, making the night so memorable with fantastic music!

Teachers at Bastian Elementary “Best in the West”

It was a western themed Teacher Appreciation Week at Bastian Elementary School and the PTA made it clear it was cowboy “hats off” to all of the hard-working teachers. There were signs throughout the school declaring Bastian as having the best teachers in the west.  They had barrels of fun with their decorated doors. And, teachers were treated to a specialty soda shop which was almost as sweet as they are.

We hope everyone enjoyed a Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
