South Valley School Fosters Community and Friendship

A variety of engaging activities, including interactive games, karaoke, and movie screenings, were offered to create a fun and exciting atmosphere. Students rotated through these events, allowing them to meet school staff and interact with their classmates.

Kudos to the South Valley School staff and students for building a vibrant community and fostering a welcoming culture for everyone.

This week we proudly welcome wonderful kindergarten students into our schools. They are beginning their journey in Jordan School District and will be the graduating class of 2038. We know these little hearts and minds will make their mark on the way to big accomplishments.

Special Olympian Shows Off Bronze Medal At Daybreak Elementary

Bronze Medal winner and Special Olympian Natalie Green speaks to the students at Daybreak Elementary SchoolDaybreak Elementary School began the year with an assembly featuring a bronze medal winner. Special Olympian Natalie Green from South Jordan showed off the medal she won in Turin, Italy, this year in Dance Sport. During her speech, she emphasized the importance of teamwork with her partner on the dance team Trey Garrett. Natalie encouraged the students to follow her example and be engaged in their learning, try new sports and hobbies, and be inclusive to everyone in their school.

Welcome back Jordan School District Elementary and Middle School Students!

There were hugs, smiles, and a few tears – from both parents and children – as elementary and middle schools from across Jordan School District opened their doors for the first day of the 2025-26 school year.

From the seniors who comprise the soon-to-be class of 2026 to the kindergartners who are embarking on their first day on the way to becoming the class of 2038, we hope every one of the over 57,000 students in each of Jordan District’s 68 schools has an incredible school year!
