Picture of Counseling TeamJoin us in congratulating an amazing school counselor with a lifetime of success working with students. Renae Brady, counselor at Mountain Ridge High School, has been recognized as the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient by the Counseling & Career Development Division of Utah’s Association for Career & Technical Education.

Renae has worked in education for the past 46 years, many of those as a counselor. She is credited with helping to develop many of the events school counselors are using today. She was instrumental in orchestrating a Job Shadow Program, developing Career Tours for the Jordan School District, and organized some of the first Career Fairs within the District. Renae also coordinated the first ever College Night back in 2004 at Bingham High School.

During the 2011-2012 school year, Renae was chosen as the School Counselor of the Year by UTAH ACTE. She went on to win at the state and regional levels, and was the runner-up for the National Award that same year.

Renae is known, loved, and respected by educators throughout many districts and levels in the state of Utah. She always does what is best for students, even when they do not know it is happening.

Congratulations Renae!
